Loveable Kittens

Not to long ago someone dropped off their unwanted beautiful calico cat, very pregnant cat. This happens alot since we live way out in the country. Well she had her kittens and I have kept her and the kittens in the house so they do not become fereal cats and multiply.

I always have my animals fixed. But with so many being dumped off around here it is getting rather costly. Just in the past few months a young dog, on the verge of starvation, showed up under our house. She is now a beautiful black lab needing a good home. Then the other day there was three small chihuahuas on the busy rural road by our place. They were so scared and so fast we were only able to catch one and she is house broke, love kids and the other animals on our place. What is wrong with these ignorant people that keep dumping off their unwanted pets? If I sound angry it is because I am. We have our own pets that we chose for our family. It is not easy to find a place for these deserted animals. Sorry I will get off my soap box. The main reason I was making this post was to share some pics of the darling kittens. Aren't they precious?

It is so sad when people get pets only to get bored of them or realize they're too much work and get rid of them in such a cruel way.

  11. The kittens are adorable! I totally understand your frustration and anger, so do not feel bad for being on a aoap box about this! I would love to adopt the little calico one, but unfortunately I can not have indoor cats anymore, due to my granddaughters allergies. I refuse to have cats outside because they end up getting killed on the road in front of my house. On a side note, did you know that only females are calico?

these are the cutest kittens I have ever seen! Sounds like you are an animal angel-I think its terrible when people just abandon animals like that. But, thank you for taking care of these poor, defenseless creatures with money out of your own pocket and energy you could be using towards your own endeavors (like quilting!) One day you will be handsomely rewarded for it!

  28. I share your anger about people dumping unwanted pets - makes you wonder how they treat their kids! But seeing these gorgeous little faces brings its own rewards.

    Have a great weekend!

  29. I'm so with you on this one! We have people dump animals at our farm too often. Then I have to spay and neuter all of the cats. We usually keep them as farm cats. Unfortunately I have to send the dogs to a shelter. We've only had two dogs. I think these people are cold hearted and selfish! The soothe their guilty conscience by thinking the farmers will take care... Now I'm on a soapbox!!!
    Yikes! It's contagious!

  34. I can't understand why people just dump their pets either. They could at least take them to a shelter instead of on the side of the road somewhere.

Thanks for following my blog. Following back.

  35. Absolutely adorable kittens! And I'm right on the soap box with you about the dumping of pets... and making sure everyone gets their pets fixed!

  36. I am on this same soap box right now. Someone dumped kittens in my yard last wknd. I also have had all of our pets fixed and really can't afford taking on more. Plus our pets are very unhappy with the additions. We brought them in so the dog wouldnt kill them. Have not found a home for them so far *Sigh. Then I have neighbors who moved away and left their animals behind. TERRIBLE and Frustrating. Thanks for stoppping by my blog today. I'm already a GFC follower so I added you to twitter =)
